MUI: Obedient Wives Club Husband Not Prohibited


Padang (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) declared West Sumatra istri club obedient husband is not forbidden in Islam because in his plea does not refer to things that are contrary to the Shari'a.

"From the aspect of Islam a wife must obey her husband is an absolute obligation which is no doubt the ruling," said Vice Chairman of the MUI Gusrizal Gazahar in Padang in West Sumatra on Tuesday.

The statement was delivered, sekaitan with the emergence of "husbands obedient wives club" which comes from Malaysia and the newly opened branch in Jakarta.

According to him, obliged to obey the husband and wife for a husband to maintain obedience to Allah SWT. There is no disagreement with the call to obey the husband who conveyed the club.

While the debate about the polygamy, it's also no prohibition in Islam. Islam justifies polygamy with the terms and conditions stipulated in the Quran.

If the majority party, he continued, the question of polygamy which became one of the club's invitation, then it must be substantially greater depth, whether it be coercive or not?

"We can not blame the group because so far there is nothing contrary to the teachings of Islam, including polygamy," he said.

That must be understood by the public, he continued, the presence or absence of coercion to enter into the group. If there is no compulsion, then everyone is entitled to choose which is best according to him, took part in the club or not.

Gusrizal reminder, linked the club to the community, particularly in West Sumatra, not to worry because the undiscovered elements that deviate from Islamic Shari'a.

"Justification of their wives and polygamy is a right becomes an obligation for the husband to consider all aspects before deciding to polygamy," he said.
